CABINET OF FRANKLIN ROOSEVELT
Born into a wealthy and privileged life in 1882, Franklin Delano Roosevelt was going to
lead one of the world’s most powerful countries through the history’s bloodiest
incident—with approximately 50 million deaths, World War 2 has maintained its reputation
as the largest war in history, to this day.
Roosevelt became the President of the United States more than a decade after the First
World War had ended; yet, tensions had remained high, and not before long it was clear that a
new war was on the horizon. As different political ideologies rose to power in European
countries, alignments were made. Germany, Italy, and Japan formed the Axis Powers while
the United States, the United Kingdom, France, the Soviet Union, and China became the
Allies. Many more countries picked sides as the war progressed, and eventually the Allies
gained victory, bestowing the leading powers of the group with powers greater than all other
countries, sometimes even officially, as in the case of the Permanent Five (P5) of the United
Nations.
The Committee will consist of the President of the United States and his cabinet members.
The parties of the Second World War witnessed some of the most gruesome incidents in the
history, from the use of the Atomic Bomb to the Holocaust. It is now in you participants’
hands to make it better—or even worse. Choose wisely, and expect the most challenging of
crisis!
